What is Eczema?

Eczema is a skin condition where the skin becomes dry, itchy and bumpy, in different parts of the body. This deteriorates the function of the skin’s barrier, which is responsible for retaining moisture in the skin while protecting the body from external factors.

WHAT CAUSES ECZEMA?

Environmental factors

You may experience itchiness or a skin rash that indicates that you came into contact with something that has activated your eczema.

Genetics

There has been a link to genetics, such as if you have a biological relation who suffers a form of eczema or dermatitis. Additionally, people who have allergies, hay fever or asthma have a high chance of developing it.

Immune System Triggers

Triggers in the surrounding can initiate the body’s natural defense system. Our immune system’s defense is to produce inflammation. This inflammation often n causes symptoms of eczema on the skin.
