Dr. Hina Rana, is a practicing Clinical Psychologist and providing private consultancy since 2012 to the people who need psychological help through different national and international platforms. She is also actively involved in providing professional trainings and conducting workshops as a resource person through different platforms in the area of clinical psychology. Currently she is also working as Assistant Professor at Department of Clinical Psychology – School of Professional Psychology, University of Management & Technology Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Centre for Clinical Psychology, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. She is the first person in Pakistan who devised two indigenous assessment tools for persons who have social anxiety along with stuttering problem. She also devised indigenous Integrated Treatment Plan by using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Stuttering Management at both levels i.e., group therapy and individual therapy for adolesecents and young adults.
She has more than 10 years of teaching and clinical field experience. She served as both permanent and visiting teaching faculty at well-known public and private universities of Pakistan such include University of Punjab, Lahore Garrison University, Bahria University, Riphah International Islamic University, University of Lahore, and Rashid Latif Khan University.
She has many research publications in the area of clinical psychology and also serving as Reviewer in journals (national and international). She supervised more than 50 research thesis including BS (Hons) & MS level (Clinical Psychology as well as Speech & Language Pathology). She is also serving as External Examiner for Graduate (MS) level of students. She also supervised MS- Clinical Psychology university students regarding their Clinical Placement at different venues in Lahore. Her areas of expertise are Clinical Psychology, Psychological Intervention, Psychological Assesment, Forensic Psychology, and also expert in dealing with people who have stuttering problem.
Her areas of interest and deals with clients (adolescents, adults) of having Emotional Problem, Stuttering, Anxiety Disorder, Depressive Disorders, Anger Issues, and Couple Communication Problem/Relationship Problem.
